Improving your Minecraft Experience

When it comes to gaming, you always want to find ways to improve your experience, especially on Minecraft where your imagination is endless. Implementing mods, customizing your performance, utilizing resource packs, what more could you do? Well, what if I told you that Lunar Client not only solves performance related issues, but allows you to do all of these things simultaneously?

Utilizing Lunar Client Modifications

It’s important to note that while Minecraft has many features that can improve your vanilla experience, Lunar Client has a variety of modifications that can make a significant impact on your Minecraft gameplay.

Modifications for performance improvement

We understand that maintaining performance is a MUST for all players, especially those with low-end computers, so we recommend turning on these settings. These settings can be found on the Launcher and in your lunar settings. Here are a few features you can start utilizing today to make an impact on your performance:

Turbo Entities

Recently, we announced our Turbo Entities feature, which enhances performance and, in some instances, doubles FPS on resource-intensive servers like MCC Island and Wynncraft. Turbo Entities can be used on versions 1.17 and above, making it perfect for modern players who struggle daily with performance-related issues.

RAM Allocation

Allocating enough RAM for your game to start is very important, but it can also significantly impact your FPS, depending on how much RAM you allow Lunar Client to use. To change the amount required, head over to Lunar Client’s settings page on your Launcher, click on the gear icon, navigate to the Allocated Memory setting, and change the amount of RAM Lunar Client can use by dragging the slider. We recommend clicking the Detect Recommended button to allocate the best amount, depending on your hardware.

HUD Caching

By enabling this feature, you’ll reduce the rendering needed for the HUD. This feature caches the HUD to 20 frames per second to increase performance, resulting in smoother gameplay, as the game takes less time to render static elements. You can find this setting in the Lunar Client settings in the Performance tab. For this setting to work, you’ll need to disable Fast Render, which can be found in your performance settings, while using the Optifine module.

Tile Entities

When you enable this setting, it alters how far away certain tile entities will render from. Depending on the value, the lowest setting can increase FPS by hiding distant tile entities.

Modifications for Gameplay

Lunar Client has many modifications ready for players to use, but did you know that these modifications can easily be customized? Not only can you select specific properties of these mods, but you can also adjust their text color, creating the perfect aesthetic and style based on your desires.

3D Skins

Do you want skins to look aesthetically pleasing to the human eye? The 3D Skins mod adds an extrusion to the 2nd layer of your skin, making it look more 3D and realistic. It’ll definitely add a unique touch to your desired style.

Replay Mod

One of the most popular Minecraft mods to exist, Replay Mod allows you to record your gameplay and create unique shots. This is perfect for content creators who want to make something cool for their projects. All of your Lunar Client cosmetics will also be shown in the replay footage, meaning you can show off all of your cosmetics in style!

Crosshair Mod

Unlike vanilla Minecraft resource packs, the crosshair mod allows you to customize your crosshair or choose from various available presets. You can change the Thickness, Size, Gap, and Outline Thickness of the crosshair.

Unique features for the user experience

We want players to utilize every tool to their advantage, making their lives easier. We made sure to simplify all of our tools and features to the best of our ability so all users, whether they’re knowledgeable in technical settings or not, can better understand what features are used for each purpose.

Easy Access to Servers

When you open Lunar Client’s Launcher, you’ll be able to see different icons at the top of the Launcher. These servers are partnered with Lunar Client, providing you with many options. Alternatively, you can click the Earth icon on the left side to view each server’s player count and status.

Chat Filters

Have you ever hated seeing specific words being shown in chat? Using the ‘Chat Mod’ feature, Profanity Filter Level, you can set a level based on the strictness of profanity. Changing it to Normal filters racist/homophobic and custom words while enabling it to High filters all curse words and custom words. If you choose the custom filter, you can filter any word you want, or you can just set it to Off.

Custom Profiles

With Lunar Client, you can create different profiles that are tailored to your desired Minecraft gameplay. These profiles can be created specifically for different activities like 1.8 Combat, Modern Survival, or different profiles dedicated to color schemes. To start editing your Lunar Client profile, simply press RIGHT-SHIFT and click on the MODS button. Then, on the left-hand side, you’ll see a variety of different lunar profiles that you can customize. You can easily change the name and icon of these profiles by clicking on the pencil icon.
