Lunar Client is a Minecraft modpack designed to optimize gameplay by boosting FPS. It also offers a catalog of mods to enhance your Minecraft experience. The Lunar Client team is dedicated to ensuring players have a special and safe experience while playing Minecraft—player safety is always our top priority.
Unfortunately, it is common for scammers to create scam links to take advantage of players and steal their Minecraft accounts using fake Lunar Client websites. We work diligently to block these malicious links and prevent our players from receiving them through our Discord server. Your safety and security are our utmost concern. In this article, we will go over how to stay safe while using Lunar Client, how to identify scam links and where you’ll see them most.

We will never ask you for your Minecraft email or password. We encourage you to not share this information with anyone.
We have only two official Discord servers for Lunar Client: the main Lunar Client Discord server and our Developer Discord server, which is designed for server owners and developers to contact Moonsworth about Apollo API and ServerMappings. The Developer server logo is a green logo.
Our Lunar Client bot will never message you unless you have been punished in our discord server. Additional messages you might receive from our bot is if you received an XP tip—staff can willingly send a member a tip who is deemed to be helpful or a great part of the community. Finally, if you win a giveaway, the bot will message you that you’ve won and you will be added in a thread with our staff. Our bot will never send you links or an invite to another Lunar Client server— or another server in general.
We do not have different versions or colors of our logo unless it is an in-game logo showcasing a colored staff rank or Lunar+ rank.
Common Scams
A common scam involves sending a fake Lunar Client store link that directs you to a site claiming to offer a Lunar Client cosmetic gift. These fraudulent sites will prompt you to enter your Microsoft email and then sends you a verification code, which you will be asked to enter on the site. The scam's objective is to use the verification code to reset your password, allowing the scammers to change it and gain access to your Minecraft account.
To clarify, Lunar Client does not have a cosmetic gifting system and will never ask you for a verification code. For your safety, we advise you to avoid clicking on random links sent via Discord DMs or from unknown individuals in Minecraft. To ensure you are accessing the official Lunar Client store, you can find our store link at the bottom of this article, alongside other verified Lunar Client links.
Some more common scams that players can run into are receiving direct messages from a fake Lunar Client bot. Be aware that fake Lunar Client bots can be identified by their profile picture, which features a Lunar logo in a color other than the official white. These bots will usually send a link to a fake Lunar Client discord server to enter a giveaway, a link to claim a free cosmetic gift, or winning a month long Lunar+ subscription.

Below you can find examples of past scam links that users have encountered. You can see how these scam links may differ from our official links by specific keywords. These keywords include— gifts, claims, promo, promotions and gifting. Our official domains do not contain any of these words.
Comparing the Official and a Fake Lunar Client Store Page
The key difference between the fake and official store pages is that our official store does not ask you for a verification code. We do require you to fill out your email address for cosmetic purchases so a receipt can be sent to you accordingly. Nothing else is required from you.
Reporting Scams
If you face a scammer that is in our Discord server, we recommend reporting it to our staff in our Discord Server. Alternatively, you can report it by creating a ticket on our Support Website. You will need to provide proof when reporting scams. Note: If you receive a scam link from a player in our discord server with a link unrelated to Lunar Client, you can still report it to our staff team. We also recommend making a support ticket to help quicken the process of removing these sites by our team.
