Thank you for your patience and support over the past two weeks! We know there haven't been many public updates since we announced that Lunar acquired Badlion, but please know that we're working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition from ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) to Moonsworth.

To be transparent, we wanted to share why updates have been slower than expected and why we haven't made a final decision regarding a potential merger yet.

Right now, the Lunar team is working to transition all of Badlion's infrastructure. In deals like this, it's normal to have a transition period where the selling company transfers services, accounts, domains, assets, and more to the buyer. We are currently in this phase, and until we have full access and a clear understanding of everything, we can't make any major decisions.

Here’s a quick look at the timeline so far:

March 11: Lunar officially acquires Badlion
March 12: Press release and news coverage
March 12 - Present: Lunar is working with EFG on transitioning services and key infrastructure
March 12 - Present: Lunar is working to add features from Badlion to ensure parity
March 18 - Present: Lunar is bringing on Badlion developers

While we can't add everything at once, rest assured that we're committed to achieving feature parity and expanding the options and mods available from Badlion.

Motion Blur

We know many of you love Badlion’s Motion Blur, so we’ve brought it over already! Adjust Lunar’s Motion Blur mod to “V3” to experience Badlion’s version. Our existing Motion Blur is still available, just cycle through all the various options to choose the one that works best for you.

“Always Swing” Option

We’ve introduced an “Always Swing” option into our 1.7 Visuals mod, on Minecraft versions 1.8 and above. In the past, this option has led some users to believe Badlion offers better hit registration, though it does not impact actual hit mechanics.

Bed Wars Level Head Formatting

We’ve also added the Bed Wars Level Head formatting from Badlion Client to Lunar Client. This feature displays the Bed Wars level above the head in its proper format, replacing the standard color.

Time Passage

We've added a new option in the Time Changer to adjust the time passage speed. This allows for more precise control over how time flows in-game.

Performance Optimizations & BetterFPS Mod

We'll be bringing Badlion Client’s performance improvements to Lunar Client to ensure an even smoother and more optimized experience. Badlion has made various improvements on version 1.8.9 that we believe will pair nicely with Lunar Client.

Animations Mod

We plan to port over Badlion’s Animations Mod and completely overhaul Lunar Client’s existing 1.7 visuals animations. 

Hypixel Skyblock

Lunar Client has long been missing key features for Hypixel Skyblock, and we’re committed to changing that. By porting over Badlion’s Skyblock features, we’ll ensure Lunar Client users have access to the best Skyblock experience.

Item Size Mod

A highly requested mod on Lunar Client, that adds the ability to adjust the sizing of held items.

Height Overlay

A mod dedicated to allowing users to adjust where their overlay texture packs begin to apply to the surrounding void, sky, and terrain textures. This mod is particularly useful in gamemodes like SkyWars, Bed Wars, and Bridges. 

Voice Chat

We cannot guarantee we’ll utilize the exact mod, but we do plan on adding Voice Chat to Lunar Client. Badlion currently has a working version that uses a third-party provider, and once we’ve made more progress towards parity, we’ll reach out to that provider to discuss integrations with Lunar Client.

Cosmetic Types

We're already working on introducing Sprays and Shields to the Lunar Client ecosystem. This was started prior to the Badlion acquisition.
